Meet The Makers
1. We Didn’t Choose This Life. It Chose Us.
We are a growing community of families - each navigating life with special children who gently wander into a world just beside yours. A world not always seen, not always understood.
2. What They Call Us ?
We've been called many things—kinda normal, abnormal, special, differently abled, stars, even superstars. But in reality, labels fall away.
3. What Really Matters ?
What matters is that we wake up each day hoping for good food, day dreams, and a nap that lands just right. We tolerate life-skills class (if snacks are involved), decode the expressions of our ever-adapting parents, charm our way out of chores and still find joy in the quiet magic of ordinary days.
4. How It Really Happens ?
And then it begins slowly. With routines that repeat, with hands that fumble, with hearts that wait.
It’s not mass-produced. Not made overnight.
But crafted over sessions that took days, months, years and some love, sweat, tears.
5. From Hobby to “Hey, This Pays Bills”
Some of these pieces were born out of routine—something to hold the day together.
Some became an anchor—something to hold us together. And some turned into income—something to hold the future with quiet dignity.
The Zain Foundation, established on June 11, 2015, in memory of a brave young boy, is dedicated to creating a world of care, compassion, and dignity for individuals on the Autism Spectrum. Based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, the foundation works with a vision of building inclusive spaces where adults and adolescents with autism can live, learn and thrive with respect and opportunity. Extending this vision further, the foundation has recently launched Head Hand Heart — a new initiative that celebrates creativity, inclusion, and meaningful engagement through unique expressions of art, craft, and community.
